The Challenge:
A congregation that approaches Judaism from a humanistic perspective
was building their first temple and asked us to create a new logo
and identity system that could be applied to various printed materials.
As their resources have grown, so have their design needs.
The Solution:
The identity system is based on a logo
[click hyperlinks to see next image] that celebrates the Jewish
heritage with the image of a menorah and Hebrew characters. The
system also incorporates images and patterns derived from architectural
elements of the synagogue, such as the stained glass windows, the
Ark
doors, and the Ner Tamid light fixture (the latter two having
been designed by Photonics and executed by a local artist). Motifs
derived from these elements have been applied across printed material,
including books for services
and prayers,
a monthly newsletter,
and the website,
which features a special “members only” section.
The Result:
The visual consistency of the Congretation’s communications,
supports and reinforces its distinctive brand message—the
connectivity between the forces of nature and mankind, chaos and
order. Top
