Taft Museum of Art

Educational Programs and Duncanson Artist-in-Residence Program

The Challenge:
To design pieces that are fun and engaging while still respecting the artwork of the Taft Museum of Art.

The Solution:
The Educational Programs brochure [click hyperlinks to see next image] uses abstracted architectural elements to “frame” the content of the brochure, giving focus to the artwork and the programs that celebrate it. The posters and invitations designed yearly for the Duncanson Society Artist-in-Residence program focus on the artist with the other illustration elements supporting that artist’s craft, emotion, and energy.

The Result:
From its inception, education has been an important focus of the Taft Museum of Art. These design solutions reinforce that commitment while showing that the Taft has a contemporary relevance in the Cincinnati arts scene.  Return to initial image.
